1. WhatsApp Adds Fact-Checking Search

WhatsApp already flags messages that have been forwarded too many times to help slow the spread of misinformation. Now, it's adding a new little Search icon to help you fact check any articles you get from your buddies. No more wildly-inaccurate conspiracy theories in your family group chats.

2. Android Takes on AirDrop With Nearby Share

It's finally time for Android users to get the cool functionality of Apple's AirDrop, minus the better name. Google's Nearby Share will let you share files, text, photos, and video to other Android phones that are, well, nearby.

3. Google Play Music to Shut Down in October

OK, maybe that's overstating things, but Google Play Music is really going away... and it's being replaced by YouTube Music, another Google property. We guess you'll just keep using whatever Google puts out there? Dance for me, dance for me, dance for me, oh oh oh.
