Watch out, Zoom! Messaging app Telegram announced highly secure end-to-end encryption for its new video chat feature, something Zoom is still working on adding to its own popular video conferencing app. Still, Telegram can only handle 1:1 calls for now.

2. Facebook Merges Instagram and Messenger Chats

Facebook has been notifying folks using its Instagram photo sharing app that their Insta chat will soon be integrated with Facebook Messenger. That's totally not Big Brother at all, right? Oh, Facebook.
