It's September 14, 2021. It's National Live Creative Day! Let the world know how creative you are and let 'em know you're proud of it! Or, let your mind wander and enjoy the occasional daydream; it keeps the imagination in top form. ⏰ Today's Big Stories... in 30 Seconds Today We Watched, Read, and Listened to (so you don't have to): 291 articles, 15 podcasts, 20 press releases, 456 tweets, and 11 YouTube videos 1. Still No Plans for an Official Instagram App on iPad Instagram CEO Adam Mosseri has shot down the idea of an Instagram app on iPad. He reasoned that, while an iPad app would be "nice," the company has too many other priorities to deal with right now. Bummer for iPad users, but it's not like there aren't other ways to use the social media app. 2. Twitch Sues Two Users for Hate Raids Twitch is suing two users who allegedly instigated "hate raids" on the platform. The lawsuit states they constantly created new accounts after being banned to continue filling a streamers' chats with abusive messages. One user allegedly created 3,000 bot accounts. Hey, Twitch? About time. 3. Google One Adds 5 Terabyte Storage Plan Google has quietly added a 5TB plan to Google One. The addition acts as a nice middle ground for those who needed more than 2TB, but less than 10, and for those who don't want to spend $50 a month on cloud storage. Nice going, Google. 🦑 Go Deeper You know who wants the new Ray-Ban Stories smart glasses? Sascha Brodsky. Why? He likes the idea of getting music and phone calls piped in through his glasses. Maybe his deep dive on the specs will convince you, too. 🎱 By the Numbers Instagram has the US' attention Data: Business of Apps Instagram is popular all over the world, but it's no more popular than in the US and India, where it has over 100 million users in both countries. You'd think such popularity would encourage the platform to have tablet apps, but hey, it's not like Instagram hasn't put the effort in elsewhere (Reels, stores, etc). 🔥 Today's Hot Deal
The Fitbit Versa 2 smartwatch is enjoying a nice $20 discount on Walmart right now, dropping it to $178.95. It's a solid fitness tracker, so pick one up if you're ready to improve your fitness lifestyle. 🤓 Nerd Out "Good job, Betsy!" —Rob LeFebvre, Senior News Editor Did you know cows could be potty-trained? It true, as proven by scientists at the Research Institute for Farm Animal Biology, and they're about as good at it as children are. (Share on Twitter) 💎 You Know You Want It Stylish and useful Image: uncommon goods Forget carrying around a charging cable in a bag or in your car's armrest, and snap on this charging cord bracelet instead. Made with faux leather and zinc metal, it's compatible with your iPhone, iPad and quite a number of outfits. Stylish gadgets? We're into it. 🙈 Wait, What? Don't rock the iPhone You'd think the iPhone could withstand getting jostled around on a moped or motorcycle, but Apple recently published a support article stating the opposite. In fact, exposing the phone to "high amplitude vibrations within certain frequency ranges" can damage its camera systems. Huh. Who knew? 🗞 Extra! Extra!
