It's September 27, 2021. It's National Chocolate Milk Day. What better way to start the week (and improve a Monday) than with a nice glass of chocolate milk? Treat yourself. ⏰ Today's Big Stories... in 30 Seconds Today We Watched, Read, and Listened to (so you don't have to): 239 articles, 6 podcasts, 9 press releases, 448 tweets, and 9 YouTube videos 1. Apple Warns Users of Zero-Day Vulnerability Apple has issued a warning about a bug that could give hackers access to deeper parts of macOS and iOS. The company kept relatively quiet about the exploit, dubbed CVE-2021-30869, and has quickly released respective patches to fix the problem. So, as always, update your hardware ASAP. 2. GoPro Reports Overheating Is Possible With Zero Airflow If you use the new GoPro Hero10 Black to record at 5.3K/60fps, it might overheat and shut down. According to GoPro, better airflow could help prevent or delay a shutdown, but the problems are likely caused by pushing the camera beyond its typical parameters. Everything has a limit, people. 3. Xbox Rolls Out September Update to App and Consoles Microsoft has rolled out a new update for the Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox PC app. Alongside an improved Edge browser on consoles, expect to also see new cloud gaming and remote play features for those who'd rather play their console games elsewhere. Thanks for being flexible, Microsoft. 🦑 Go Deeper Diablo II: Resurrected is here and Rob Rich has spent a number of hours with the game. His takeaway? It's not trying to replace what came before, but rather serve as a modern reminder of what Diablo II was like 20 years ago. And it succeeds at it. 🎱 By the Numbers All over the place Data: GoPro GoPro's camera shipments have been on a wild ride, though not without high points. Since 2019, GoPro shipments have crossed the one million mark multiple times, but hitting ~500,000 is just as common. Seems like there are times when people want a GoPro and times when they definitely don't. 🔥 Today's Hot Deal
Apple's 13-Inch M1 MacBook Air (256GB) is down to $850 on Amazon right now, thanks to a nice $150 discount. If you're still using an Intel MacBook, now is definitely your chance to upgrade. 🤓 Nerd Out "Sooner or later, everything old is new again." —Stephen King, Bestselling Author The Sega Genesis is a relic of the past, but that isn't stopping Nintendo from capitalizing on people's nostalgia and creating a wireless Genesis controller to work with the Nintendo Switch. Ready to pay $50 for one? (Share on Twitter) 💎 You Know You Want It Ding! Perfect toast Image: Williams Sonoma Struggle to make the perfect toast or toasted bagel in the morning? Set up the Revolution Cooking 2-Slice High Speed Smart Toaster and never worry about it again. With a touchscreen interface, various smart sensors, and faster heating times, how could you possible say no to this? Just have $300 ready. 🎧 Listen Up Malware shouldn't be profitable On this episode of the Darknet Diaries, learn all about Zero Day Brokers, people who make and sell malware to others who then use it to exploit people, presumably for financial gain. It's a wild, unsafe world out there on the web. 🗞 Extra! Extra! We've got you covered with the best in daily tech news! See the latest on our site or follow us on Google News.
