June 22, 2021
It's June 22, 2021. It's National HVAC Tech Day! While you're at home enjoying your air conditioning, why not spare a few thoughts for the HVAC technicians out there? We'd be sweating without them. ⏰ Today's Big Stories... in 30 Seconds Today We Watched, Read, and Listened to (so you don't have to): 320 articles, 6 podcasts, 6 press releases, 343 tweets, and 8 YouTube videos 1. The Best Amazon Prime Day Deals of 2021 Prime Day continues to tempt everyone until it concludes at 11:59 PM PDT. Check in to find discounts on a ton of Amazon products, laptops, wearables, and more. Echo devices? Check. Headphones? Check. AirPods? Of course! We're lucky this happens on Mon/Tues and not over the weekend. 2. Samsung Will Show Off New Wear OS and More at MWC 21 Samsung will debut its new wearable tech running the next version of Wear OS at Mobile World Congress on June 28. It's unclear if this event will deliver new devices, though, and is more likely to focus on Wear OS and other improvements coming to Samsung's mobile ecosystem. Still, who's excited? 3. Facebook's Live Audio Rooms Testing Has Begun in the US Facebook's Live Audio Rooms feature is now testing in the US. Users can join hosted rooms and listen, but only a limited number of groups and public figures can create their own rooms. We guess hosting will come to everyone once we've proven we can handle the unlimited power responsibility. 🦑 Go Deeper Apple Music now has lossless audio, but how good is it? Is it even worth it? Well, Sascha Brodsky has been trying it out for a bit, and while there's a slight difference, it's not immediately obvious. Uh oh. 🎱 By the Numbers Makes sense to us! Data: DigitalCommerce360 You can use Amazon Prime for a number of things, but the primary service people use it for is, well, Prime itself. We're surprised so many people wrote their own reviews for products, but not too shocked by how few use their membership at Whole Foods. How many know you can even do that? 🔥 Today's Hot Deal
This 32-inch Samsung Odyssey G5 monitor is $55 off on Amazon right now, dropping it to $295. HDR, 1ms response times, and curved? It's perfect for playing games on. Pick one up asap! 🤓 Nerd Out "Simple, but not *hiccup* very cool." —Tim Fisher, General Manager Hiccups are annoying, and often feel like they came out of nowhere. But a group of scientists claim to have created a straw that instantly cures them. How? Something to do with pressure and diaphragms. We'll take 3. (Share on Twitter) 💎 You Know You Want It Like a mini art gallery Image: Netgear If you're tired of static images decorating your walls, the Meural Canvas II may pique your interest. Cycle through images using Meural's own art library, or upload your own artwork and photos. It comes in two sizes (16x24 and 19x29), and its anti-glare screen ensures you'll always see what's on display. 🙈 Wait, What? No wallet necessary Remember RFID protective wallets for our debit cards? Those were useful, right? Not really. Turns out, it's pretty rare to steal credit card info by holding an RFID reader near a wallet, and there are easier ways to do it anyway (ex: scam emails). Now, go forth and pay with your card with slightly fewer worries. 🗞 Extra! Extra! We've got you covered with the best in daily tech news! See the latest on our site or follow us on Google News.
