Google to Add Transparency Into How Apps Use Data Google is creating a new safety section within Google Play to provide more transparency into the data apps collect/share. Specifically, starting next year, developers must disclose what type of data is collected and stored, and how it's used. Sounds good to us! 2. Google Plans to Enable Two-Step Verification by Default To better protect our accounts, Google will soon begin enabling two-factor authentication by default. For those already using it, not much will change, but for those new to 2FA and its many options, it'll hopefully ease a few of their concerns. Peace of mind can go a long way, after all. 3. Twitter Tests a New Tip Jar Feature Twitter's latest experiment is a tip jar feature that lets users tip other accounts. With support for Cash App, Patreon, Paypal, and more, Twitter says it wants to "make it easier for you to support each other beyond Follows, Retweets, and Likes." Hey, how does this work when filing taxes? 🦑 Go Deeper Were Apple's AirTags worth the wait?
