Every Announcement From Google I/O's Opening Keynote Google I/O is upon us, providing insight into the new features and updates Google has planned for a number of its platforms. On Tuesday, the company had a lot to show, including Maps and password manager updates, LaMDA AI, search AI improvements, and more. Someone's been busy, huh? 2. Apple HomePod Devices Won't Support Lossless Audio Apple's addition of lossless music support that starts next month won't work on its own HomePod devices. This information comes just after AirPods Pro and Max owners learned their accessories won't support lossless audio either. Kinda takes the excitement out of the audio announcement, doesn't it? 3. Oculus Update Lets You See Yourself in VR An Oculus Quest/Quest 2 update will add the ability to take a selfie in VR. Using a new Live Overlay feature, the Oculus can capture an image of the user superimposed over what's displayed in their headset. The feature only works with iOS, but Android support is supposedly coming soon.
