It's January 26, 2022. On this day in 1962, NASA launched the Ranger 3 probe to study the Moon. It never happened, though, as the Ranger missed its mark by ~22,000 miles. Oof. With a greater emphasis on privacy and only focusing on a user's recent browsing history, it should be a better alternative to companies learning about our interests and showing tailored ads. It's in beta right now, and limited to a small number of people, but between this and podcasting, Substack clearly doesn't only want to be about newsletters anymore.
