Meta Pushes Back End-to-End Encryption on Platforms Until 2023 Facebook Messenger and Instagram won't get default end-to-end encryption until 2023, Meta (formerly Facebook) announced on Monday. It was originally aiming for 2022, but now says it's working with privacy and safety experts to ensure it gets E2EE right. Still, 2023 seems like a long time to wait. 2. GoDaddy Reveals Recent Hack Exposed 1.2 Million Accounts GoDaddy has revealed an "unauthorized third party" gained access to roughly 1.2 million WordPress accounts back in September 2021.
