Amazon Finally Cancels Glow, its Video Calling Device for Children | Amazon went after Facebook Portal with a fairly ugly gadget called Glow, made for kids to interact with distant relatives via video. It came out last September, cost $250, and never really did get much traction, apparently, because Amazon is killing the device now, just like Facebook killed Portal. | | Google Maps' upcoming "Vibe" feature may sound cool, but some experts think the info could be biased, as with any crowd-sourced system.
