In 2021, CD Sales Grew for the First Time in 17 Years Those who still buy physical CDs may be surprised to learn their actions have caused CD sales to increase for the first time since 2004. According to the RIAA's annual sales report, CD sales were ~$584 million by the end of 2021. So, yeah, people are still repping CDs. Digital's still doing even better, though.  3. HBO Max and Discover Plus Will Eventually Be One Service When Discovery and WarnerMedia merge later this year, HBO Max and Discovery Plus will do the same, according to Variety. For those who currently pay for both, expect to pay for one less service, and get ready to see Discovery shows alongside Barry and Peacemaker.
