Apple Beats Samsung for Top Smartphone Sales The war of the handsets continues as Apple overtook Samsung in sales during the last quarter of 2020. According to research firm Gartner, Apple showed year-on-year growth of 14.9 percent while Samsung's sales fell by 11.8 percent over the same time period.
