DECEMBER 8, 2020
It's December 8, 2020. Today is National Brownie Day and Pretend to be a Time Traveler Day, so go make some brownies and pretend they're fresh from 2021. You're going to deserve it. ⏰ Today's Big Stories... in 30 Seconds Today We Watched, Read, and Listened to (so you don't have to): 654 articles, 6 podcasts, 12 press releases, 387 tweets, and 13 YouTube videos 1. WarnerMedia Has Plans for Two More Streaming Services Not content with HBO Max, WarnerMedia reportedly has plans for two new streaming services. One would be for its cable channels like TNT and TBS, while the other would be a subscription-based CNN service. We'll wait for the bundle that includes HBO Max for $15/month. Or skip them altogether. 2. Apple's Already Working on New Mac Processors Apple is already working on the successor to its recently debuted M1 processors, according to Bloomberg. The new processors could arrive in 2021 with a new MacBook Pro, iMac desktops, and a Mac Pro workstation. Apple's really intent on separating itself from Intel, huh? 3. Twitter's Showing Some Users Way Too Many Promoted Tweets Twitter's kind of a pain to deal with these days, but now some users have to see way more Promoted Tweets than usual. Users claim to see these ads after every four to six tweets, which is just frequent enough to tick people off. Hopefully this is a bug and not intentional, though who can say at this point. 🦑 Go Deeper Salesforce just purchased Slack for $27.7 Billion but what does that mean for the average user? Kristin Majcher has a deeper look at what exactly will change for you if you use the popular collaboration software. 🎱 By the Numbers So much drama Data: Reelgood HBO Max is definitely a drama-centric service, with high-quality shows and movies across all categories. It makes sense that comedy tops Action Adventure, though, as if we might all need a little laughter these days. 🔥 Today's Hot Deal
